My Eco Art: What is the future of Lost 'n' Found?
Detail
Detail
Hey! I found mine!
"Hanskat hukassa, mutta homma hanskassa 2
"Hanskat hukassa, mutta homma hanskassa 1"
The two pieces are made up of mittens and gloves that were found and collected between the years 1998-2008 in and around Finland, but mostly the city of Mikkeli. Few are from abroad. There are about 500 pieces. The idea for this work came to me, when I had lost one of my gloves and later found it. However, what happens to things in Lost 'n' Found, what is their future? I have made their future in this textile work, as well as taking care of the owners' gloves or mittens. They are preserved in this textile work. If you recognize your own, please contact me and I will return them to You!
